📱 What Anem stores

Anem stores the following information locally on your device only:

• Names and birthdays of people you add
• Relationship types (e.g. friend, sibling)
• Interests and notes you enter for each person
• Gift ideas and gift history you record
• Your notification preferences

🤖 AI gift suggestions

When you request gift ideas, Anem sends a small set of anonymous parameters to our backend:

• Relationship type (e.g. "sibling")
• Approximate age range (e.g. "25–34")
• Interest categories you selected (e.g. "books", "tech")
• Budget range

This contains no names, no device identifiers, and no personal data. It is used solely to generate gift suggestions and is not stored or logged on our servers.

🔔 Notifications

Birthday reminders are generated and scheduled entirely on your device using iOS's local notification system. No data leaves your device to send you a notification.

🚫 What we do not do

• We do not require an account or sign-in
• We do not collect analytics or usage data
• We do not use advertising identifiers
• We do not sell or share your data with anyone
• We do not access your contacts, photos, or other apps
• We do not use third-party analytics SDKs

👶 Children's privacy

Anem is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, please contact us and we will address it promptly.

🔄 Changes to this policy

If we ever change our data practices, we will update this page and change the "Last updated" date at the top. We will notify you in the app if the changes are significant.
